Wanna Trade?...

Ok, I DVRd the NBA Draft tonight...

Now, I'm speeding through it. As of right now, I'm blown away by the amount of trades tonight...And you know what?...I think it's great. Finally, we have teams and GMs shuffling players, picks, and salaries. Work the deal. Keep it going.

Kudos:

Bobcats - I still hate that nickname for Charlotte. Can't we dump the 'Bobcats', please?...Damn, you mean every Thursday night and Saturday night I have to think 'Go Bobcats' and that booty ass Orange...Yeech.

With that said, MJ made a great pick with Adam Morrison. I think he'll be a great 3 man, and he'll play off well with Raymond Felton, Gerald Wallace, Emeka Okafor, and Sean May. Especially with Felton...Both of those guys are gamers. This team is going could be quite nasty...No softies here.

More importantly, in Mike's vision! No Wes Unseld or "Dishonest" Abe Pollin around.

Grizzlies - What a fleece! They pick up Rudy Gay and Stromile Swift for Shane Battier. Watch out for the Rockets because they've also exchanged a pick for cash considerations. They're going to make a move on someone either this summer or next. There has to be more to this.

Now, back to the Grizzlies...It wasn't a couple of years ago that everyone was drooling over signing Swift, and now they want to dump him...hmmm....How about this comparsion...Tyrus Thomas & Stromile Swift. I think Gay will be a good player with some solid guys to develop him...Hello Eddie Jones.

They also picked up the career sleeper, James White. Not a bad pick-up at all...The kid will always have 'tremendous talent' right next to his name...Too bad it never has the disclaimer, 'ten cent head' or 'tremendous attitude'.

I also think that Swift knows that organization well enough that he could develop into a valuable veteran...Wow, did I just say that?

With that said, the Grizz also picked up Kyle Lowery, who has a game that I've adored since he was Cardinal Dougherty in Philadelphia. I love the kid's game, and I think he'll be a Bonzi Wells type scorer and slasher in the NBA. Great swipes by the All-Time Best GM...Jerry West...Yes, I said that.

Blazers - I'm still trying to track all of their moves, but I like some of these. They dumped Sebastian Telfair, who has been expendable with the development of Steve Blake and Jarret Jack...I knew that was going to happen. Besides, right now anyone could play point for more than 30 minutes in a game and get 12 points per game. I neither think that's a heavy loss for the Blazers, nor a nice gain for the Celts...I'll keep my bets on Telfair to France within five years.

Also, special kudos for grabbing Brandon Roy from the T-Wolves. The kid is from the Northwest, and he'll be a hometown favorite. I'm a little dicey on LaMarcus Aldridge...Reminds me of an athletic Acie Earl...Just my thoughts.

Nets - Jersey in the House...I like the 'sleeper' picks with Marcus Williams and Josh Boone with their firsts and Hassan Adams with their second round pick. Very athletic and there's a lot of game experience coming onto the bench. Good picks by the old-school dealer, Rod Thorn.

Hawks - I actually like the Shelden Williams pick. The guy with his size and mobility will play a long time in the league...I'm not saying dominating, but he will get ticks.

Brutalities:

Knicks - Right off the bat...Renaldo Balkman...My man, 'Gach-Man', hit me up with an immediate text simply stating "Renaldo Balkman?"...Hilarious.

Suns - Rajon Rando...Thank god for trading Rajon to the Celts. Now, what the hell is Danny Ainge throwing Rondo into his point guard pile? Maybe he'll convince Rondo to eat something...The kid should have stayed at Kentucky. Please feed him.

Lakers - You know the Draft is rough when a point guard like Jordan Farmer is drafted at the end of the first round. I know Greg Anthony loves this kid. Yet, I think he may be a little too overmatched in the league. The Lakers go the safe route and pick the local kid...Real gutsy move...Uh yeah.

Love Milwaukee's pick of David Noel...Something happened when the Warriors landed Patrick O'Bryant. Mully had to be pissy when Rudy Gay didn't fall to #9...Sean Carney, hmmm...shhhh...

Let's see what deals shake free because this Draft year gets a C. But I like the dealin'...Keep it up and bring more!
