Dippin' Breadsticks
What a day...What a day...Here's a few pieces from 'Notes From the Lab'.
Funny enough, I spend the day using the Wi-Fi at Panera Bread today on Franklin Street, and look what I came up with...Have fun with these breadsticks.
***I caught this Business 2.0 article via Core 77...Check out "What's Next for Apple?" by Paul Sloan...Although Steve Jobs and his creative cogs keep their secrets tighter than NORAD, Sloan reports that the iTunes has turned a profit at 9.6 Million songs per week, and he handicaps their future product lines.

The watch I don't know...You need a lot of slack on those headphones...
Wireless iPods, Digital Hubs, iPod Phones...(Particularly, I think this could happen. I'm a huge fan of the 'Toggle Wheel' design on Bang & Olufsen phones)...Sloan is hoping for the vPod, and he gives a video iPod product a 75% chance of making it. I don't know so much about portable video, but hell...if the audio is great, then maybe you can hit it.
Personally, I'm up for the Wireless iPod idea. Seriously, if I can get rid of the docking station, I'm up for it. Also, a bunch of wireless iPods rolling around in public places could give a whole new meaning to sharing conversations over music.
That dream could also give a whole new meaning to a DJ collective meeting at Weaver Street Market...Boom-Boom! "Yo, excuse me Miss, but I noticed your playlists...and...I think you have some really cool tunes..." Awwww, damn....watch out!
***With Wi-Fi now on my mind, 'The Real Paul Jones' leads you to a great article from The Independent by Fiona Morgan on Wireless access in Chapel Hill/Carrboro.
Morgan also gives great intro on Wi-Fi and a great scouting report on other cities that are working on developing wireless networks. I'll be at Weaver Street Market on Saturday afternoon conducting a focus study on wireless users. Feel free to drop on by to give me your input.
***Yesterday, I posted a great article from Jim Caple of ESPN 2 fame about his visit to the Hill. Well, last night Caple went to Duke, and he learned what many of us know in the Triangle. Check out the article...Some of the responses that he gets from students are classic.
Look for more posts live from McCauley St...
